Birthday Weekend

sheets, but it all worked out.
Friday night, Gorski and Dorsey watched a movie with Thomas, while Catherine and I baked some cakes.
Saturday, we went to explore downtown and went to the Coca Cola Museum and the Underground Mall. First, we had lunch at the Varsity. The museum wasn’t that interesting - it didn’t talk about the drug allegations, or New Coke vs. Coke Classic, but it did have sodas from across the world that we could taste. Italy’s Bitter Appertif was the grossest - atleast we got some entertaining facial expression
photos.
Saturday night was the party, and things started off slow, but once the alcohol kicked in, people started loosening up. I had way too much to drink but people seemed to have a great time. My cousin and his family even drove in from Alabama. Thomas’ friends attended from Winston Salem, Charlotte, and somewhere in South East Georgia.
Sunday was rough for me - I felt sick for most of the day, but the others went to IHOP for breakfast before heading back home. Overall, it was a good birthday - very cool that my friends were willing to come to our party from so far away.
We had quite a few shutterbugs in the group. Here are some of our photos…

Is the Triad blending together again? Not exactly in Winston, but close enough :-)
I knew that, I’ve discussed it a ton of times with you before… I’m just ditzy.
man, we’re old.
Looks like a fun birthday!
So, this might be random…but I noticed from your pictures that you have the same Maytag stove we do (I think) and the same microwave. Have you noticed the microwave being unreasonably loud? I mean, I know it’s going to have more sound because it’s up above the bottom is exposed, but ours seems extra loud. I can’t tell if the repair guy was just BS’ing me when I had him over to look at it and he told me “That’s just the way it is”.
