After about a month without any rain, it poured last night. The grass in the front yard is growing. There are thin green tufts spread throughout the front yard.

Thomas and I took the Juniper ground cover out around the mailbox and planted Lantanas. They’re fragrant and much prettier than the ground cover. There are also two bushes by the mailbox that I couldn’t identify, so for now, they’re still there. When I know what they are, I’ll rearrange and probably add in a few more plants.

This weekend I’m hoping to plant some tulip bulbs for the Spring. And I’ve also decided that I’ll do a small raised vegetable garden in the backyard, so we can grow tomatos, peppers and squash.
