Satisfying Weekend
![]()
Thomas and I went out to dinner and a movie, Friday night, with Anna and Dave, and we all had a great time. Thomas knew Dave in high school in Florida, and we recently learned that he lives in Roswell too. Anna is his girlfriend and she is crafty and fun.
We tried a weird Bangledesh place - the food was good, but the service was weird. The waiter/owner was like a car salesman - he asked all of our names and shook our hands and then when we ordered he told us that we should get something else instead. He tried to sell us on an appetizer like it was leather interior. The restaurant also advertised that we could bring our own bottles of wine or beer and they would pour them for us.
We saw Serenity. I really liked it, though, Thomas did have grip marks on his arm afterward from the scary scenes. If you do see it, I highly recommend watching atleast the beginning of the television series first. We’ve got the end of the Season queued up in Netflix.
Except for a brief visit from Dad, this was the first weekend in a while without houseguests. Dad stopped in late Sunday night on his way home from Beaumont, and left after breakfast (and fixing our shower), Sunday morning. Saturday night, Thomas and I spent some quality time watching some cheesy 1930s slapstick called, Bringing Up Baby. I don’t recommend it.
Saturday, when the weather was cool and beautiful, I opened the windows and turned off the AC and enjoyed the naturey, fresh air. Thomas played in the creek and cleaned up some of the debris that had been thrown in there. Clover followed him in and enjoyed the mud. I found a crawdad buried in the sand, but he wasn’t very photogenic. This afternoon, Thomas and I both took a midday nap.
