New Puppy in Town

Maisy

Clover had her first sleepover this weekend. My coworker went out of town, and we watched her shih tzu puppy, Maisy. Maisy is younger than Clover, but a little bit taller. She’s a cutie - she looks thicker, but I think alot of it is just fluff. Her parents keep her hair longer than we keep Clover’s hair, but she’s not really an outdoor pup. And to make her even cuter, she wore little baby diapers because she was in heat. They had a place for her tail to stick through.

Clover and Maisy got along, but they didn’t really play together. Clover first chased Maisy around with a look on her face that said, “you look like Bailey, but I know you aren’t her”. Then she gave up trying to get her to play and focused on all of Maisy’s toys for the rest of the weekend. Maisy hasn’t been around other dogs, so she just mostly sat and stared at Clover, wondering what this crazy fetch game was.

By the end of the weekend, Clover had taught Maisy to go up and down stairs, and the joys of rawhide sticks. Clover is going to stay with her when we go out of town some weekend.

Maisy is a beautiful dog - looks much like Bailey. Did you have Clover try to teach her how to sing? Clover is a great singer and taught her sister. Hope Clover enjoyed her sleepover guest.

I love the haircut. Maisy’s hair looks like the brown is as soft as the white, unlike Bailey’s. I’ll have to print the picture and take it to a groomer to see if she can make Bailey look as adorable. Thomas looks like a Dr. Doolittle if I ever saw one.

Maisy’s hair style is called a teddy cut. She was super-soft.
