Now that I have delivered the Christmas gift, I can post a photo of it. I made this tote bag for a friend of mine who likes the color purple and cats. The bag has a patchwork cat on the outside with a little ribbon around his neck. I think she’ll like it - I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

I used these directions for the cat block, but I had to try a few times to get it down to tote bag size. I chose a conservative color for the outside, but if she wants to be loud and bright, the bag can be turned inside out to show a dark purple rose pattern.

I made another craft as a Christmas gift, though I don’t think it’s as good. I was a bit rushed. I’ll wait until after the holiday to post a photo of it - it hasn’t been opened yet. I hope next year I have more time, and talent, to make more of the gifts that I give.
