A New Face for a New Year

January 1st, 2006 by sallad

Happy 2006! With the start of the new year, I wanted to start out my blog with a fresh, clean look. Thomas designed this theme for me using the Connections theme he uses on his site, and modified it to be more like Inhabitat, a design blog I like. I wanted something with a soft, calm green, and trees, and I love it.

I’ve also switched from Movable Type blog software to Wordpress, which should be easier to maintain, especially since it’s what Thomas uses too. It seems to have alot of neat features and plug-in options. The photo gallery has been upgraded to Gallery2.0, which has alot of new features too.

With the redesign, it’s going to take some time to get everything sorted out and posted back on my site. Please let me know if you find something missing or broken, or if you have any suggestions for improvements. In the meantime, feel free to check out one of the new features – automatic notification. Just click Subscribe to my blog in the sidebar and you can be sent an email whenever I add a new entry to my blog.

Did you archive the old blog entries? I was looking for the picture of Mama C, the “domino queen”, and other pictures from Christmas.

Whoops, I thought this was hidden until I was ready to launch the new site – you guys are good. There were also two other random commenters that stopped by before I even had a real post up, but they were deleted when I made this entry.

The old posts will be up as soon as possible, and I’ll start with the ones from Christmas week.

Something is up with your RSS feed. A new entry you wrote showed up in the feed but not on the site. I know you’re still working things out yet, just thought I’d let you know!
