Tennis Matches

May 12th, 2006 by sallad

Last night, Thomas and I played tennis. I’ve been wanting to play for a while, so I had bought two rackets and a can of balls at Target, and there is a public tennis court a few streets over from our house.

We didn’t do too well - only a few times were we able to continue the volley more than two hits. And we weren’t sure of the rules, so we used modified-volleyball scoring. I won two games and Thomas was in the lead for the third, but it was too dark to continue.

I’m so glad we played. It was fun, exercise, and a stress release all wrapped into one. Afterward, we ate dinner at Boneheads, the new grilled chicken and fish fast food restaurant. It was delicious and healthy.

I took a tennis class in college and really enjoyed it. Practicing a serve will really give your arms a good work out.
