Craftiness is Back

January 7th, 2007 by Sallad

One of my unofficial New Year’s Resolutions this year is to be craftier - hopefully completing one quilted bag, and one of the quilts I started a while back. And it would be nice to actually have crafts to work on when I go to Craft Night too. I don’t think I’ve touched my sewing machine since finishing Will’s baby quilt last May.

Well, this weekend, I picked up the craftiness. Saturday morning, I sewed a quick birthday gift for my friend, though I can’t post a photo of it yet. Her birthday isn’t until next weekend. I am pleased with how it turned out, and I hope she likes it. I’ll post more about it after she gets it.

The other project I did was make some Thank You note cards. I’m down to a couple of the cheesy, store-bought Thank You cards, so I picked up two stamps and some plain cards and made my own (as seen in the entry photo). They’re simple, but at least they’re handmade. That counts for something, doesn’t it? :) Now, I need to figure out how to clean up the ink pads where one color mixed with the other.

Thanks for sending me a card. Just one problem, you only thanked me and forgot Jeremy and Amanda.
