Wedding Flowers
I have a feeling you’re going to get sick of wedding related posts pretty soon, but I just wanted to post some photographs of my flowers. I loved the flowers that my bridesmaids and I carried at the wedding. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to taking photos of them until today, and they’re starting to fade. Still, here’s some macro shots.
I was very impressed with the flowers. We got them from Sam’s Club, which charged us wholesale for the flowers, and then a $9 design fee for each of the following groups: the bridal bouquet, the 3 bridesmaid bouquets, the 2 table arrangements, 5 boutineers, 3 more boutineers, and 3 corsages. It sounds like a lot, but in the world of wedding flowers, it was very reasonable.
The florist was great to work with too. I told her I wanted something in white, apple green and pale yellow, and asked if she could try to incorporate some yellow roses (for the yellow rose of Texas - the title of Thomas’ first blog entry about me). I also told her I liked the white hydrangeas and the green berries - and she included those too.
I noticed at the reception that someone used some extra yellow roses to decorate the top of the cake. That turned out very pretty too.

Congrats! Looks like you had a fabulous time. Enjoy your new life together…
Great well-chosen photos, nice size. I got a good picture of the Mitchell sisters on my reliable old stand by camera.
