What better way to celebrate the start of the hot season (Happy start of June) than to have the air conditioner break. Last night, just as the movie I was watching ended (thankfully it was a comedy, not a thriller), I heard this loud noise like a chainsaw or a lawnmower starting up in the backyard. It was around 9:30PM and pitch dark outside.

I snuck outside and realized that the noise was actually coming from the A/C. It was spewing debris up from it, shaking violently, and making a racket, so I turned it off and slept with the windows open. It looks like one of the fan blades broke off, and the whole fan unit has been knocked out of place, and even torn part of the grate off the top.  You can see in the photo above that there is supposed to be two blades.

I have someone coming to look at it today, but thankfully, the forecast says that the weather is just going to be in the 80s this weekend. If you really want to see more photos of the A/C, I posted some on Flickr.
