Small Deer in our Backyard

One of the photo blogs I’ve been reading recently had a preference test in it. It showed the same photo edited in a couple of different ways - different contrasts, saturations, white balances… I found it very interesting and thought I’d try it with this photo of a deer we saw in our backyard this morning. I took the photo, and both Thomas and I took a couple cracks at editing it. I’m curious which style people prefer, and why.

I like the colors of the first picture because the grass looks more normal, but because the details of the deer are clearest on the third picture, I think I like that one best.
I like the first one best - I think because I am averse to the color yellow and there is so much yellow in the other two. The first is just so cool and refreshing that it eases my eyes to look at it.
I like the green in the first one, but the deer detail in the other two.
