Fun Monday: Show your Apron
Ms Cellania is hosting Fun Monday this week, and asked us to show our aprons. I only have one apron, so here it is — modeled by my grumpy husband. He’s grumpy because I dressed him up while he was trying to do the dishes. Yeah, I know, I shouldn’t interrupt him while he’s actually cleaning.
My Mother-in-Law made this apron for me for Christmas this past year. The fabric has sheep on it, which I think she picked to remind me of my trip to Gotland, Sweden. She also made me some oven mitts that match.
I have sewn two other aprons. A couple years ago, I made this this blue one out of two tea towels. It has since been retired. I really didn’t know how to do straps then, so they fell apart over time. I made this pink half-apron earlier this year for a friend for her birthday.

oh sallad you are very baaaaaaaa’d.
Hi grumpy husband. If she isn’t happy with your dishes, come on over to my house. I have a dish washer, and I won’t make you wear a dress.
(:
Someone’s not a happy camper.
I wouldn’t advise him to wear that outfit if he ever went to Noo Zeeland. At least it’s covering up the Apple t-shirt ;)
LOL the expression on his face says it all LOL Very nice apron though, your mil is talented. Loved the two aprons you made as well!
I love that monkey apron! And I love that your dh was willing to model the aprons for you:o)
I love the apron but lol at your hubby wearing it!
I love that monkey one! Good job! The photo of your hubby is hilarious!
Great Photo! The model makes it!
This pic is absolutely priceless. No way my hubby would have modeled for me.
Nice apron, btw. I love the matching oven mits!
Thanks for sharing.
Happy Fun Monday!
Well, at least he was a good enough sport to pose! Hee!!
My husband and I have some very baaaaad jokes about sheep from our honeymoon in Ireland…
Oh, and we’re Mac users, too! My husband would love your husband’s shirt. (But he’d never pose for a picture like that. Good for you!!)
WEll, I love the Viking helmet. We have one and it weighs about 5 pounds. I also like the monkey apron, too. I’ve just not seen any aprons that are stained and looked like they’ve really been used.
The flowers on your banner/masthead are gorgeous. Did you take the pic and are they flowers that your grew?
Swampwitch - The flowers on my masthead is a photo I took, but not from my garden. Actually, I made a blog entry about the masthead image - http://www.sallad.net/blog/2007/07/20/pink-is-the-new-blah/
The flowers were on a tree on the Indiana University campus. I went to grad school there and loved how beautiful it was in the spring.
Oh, I missed your lovely sheep apron for Fun Monday, very nice with the matching oven mitts.
