Pecan Pie

Sorry, I’m too exhausted tonight to do a more thoughtful post. And the contest winner is being delayed one more day. I’m just posting a few more trip photos for tonight - these are from Thanksgiving morning at my parents’ house. Mom and I made pecan pie (pronounced peh-cahn). It was delicious!

That’s right, because a “pee-can” is a toilet, not a nut! (As my grandmother would say.)
I love KJ’s explanation of the pronunciation of pecan. Did I miss something? I didn’t see a picture of the finished product.
I’m a freak, I don’t like Pecan Pie, but my husband would love to partake. Glad you got to spend time with family for the holidays!
