Ketchup: Awards and Some Photos
Thomas and I have been working our behinds off to get our wedding album completed (using Blurb.com) and ordered by Christmas, but last night we finally gave in and accepted that if we want to do a really good job, it’s not going to be done in time. It would have had to be sent in to the printer today and that didn’t happen. We’ll shoot now for getting it done by our 1st anniversary in April.
So now that I’m not filling my free time with that, I can actually see all the other things I’ve been putting off…like decorating for Christmas, sewing crafts, and posting photos. Actually, I just set some photos from Thanksgiving to load. Maybe they’ll be online by the time I finish this post.
I also skipped a blog award. Back in November, Lisa’s Chaos gave me a friendship award…for my craftiness. I found Lisa through Fun Monday and have enjoyed reading her blog since we have some similar interests - birding and geocaching.
I guess I should pass on the award, so I’ll give it to a new blog friend, and an old blog friend..you know, like in Girl Scouts…”one is silver and the other’s gold.” Yeah, I’m a dork.
Dotty is the old blog friend. I’ve never met her, but I’ve been reading her blog for a couple years now and I feel like I do know her. I went to high school with her hubby and through him found her blog. She posts cute photos of her baby, or the cool jewelry she makes, or even the occasional snarky commentary on life.- Sauntering Soul is the new blog friend. I also discovered her in Fun Monday and took note of her because she lives in Atlanta too. During NaBloPoMo she posted some hilarious D.R.U.G.S. (Donned Ridiculously Ugly Garments Sometimes) posts of outfits from her past.
I also got a shout out from Robinella today for being Not A Stepford Wife. She said it was very unStepford Wivey of me to compare my husband to Napolean Dynamite. Hehe..
The photos I mentioned above are now online. This set is from my parent’s backyard on Thanksgiving.
Here are two of my favorites:
Mom and Me (ahh, that’s where I got my squinty eyes)
Our Little Family (me, Thomas, and Clover)

That’s so sweet that your darling is helping with the scrapbook.
Aw, thank you Dallas! I feel like I know you too by now. Even though David swears we have met…
Those are some great photos! I still haven’t loaded mine but I really need to get on that I guess. Hubby just seems to be keeping me busy.
I’m interested in why you chose Blurb over Lulu - were you able to compare physical products or did you get a recommendation from someone?
Awww, thank you so much Dallas! Maybe you’ll end up being the first blog friend I meet in real life at some point!
P.S. You’ve been tagged on my blog. Don’t be mad please.
my husband just published a cookbook through blurb! :)
