Last Saturday

December 21st, 2007 by Sallad

Let me tell you about last Saturday, because it was a wonderful day. The day began with me waking before Thomas. That is a rarity - it has only happened once before in our relationship. So since I was up before him, I made him breakfast in bed. It wasn’t anything special; I’m not real awake early in the morning. I made him toast with peanut butter, orange slices, and hot chocolate. After eating, we watched the birds out the window and snuggled with Clover - nice to have time to just relax.

After we got up, we headed out to get a Christmas tree. Of course we had to take the bus… :) We went to Pike’s Nursery, picked out our tree, and loaded it up on top. We decided that we needed a photo of the tree on top, so we made a quick detour to the heart of our little town and took some photos in front of the decorated storefronts. Santa even drove by in a horse drawn carriage. The photos didn’t come out as I had hoped, mostly because there were so many other cars around, but Thomas got a great shot of me driving down our street.

That afternoon, we went to a boardgame party, but I have enough pictures from that to be another post. Until then, the rest of the photos from Saturday morning are on Thomas’ Picasa site.

After looking at all your bus photos I’m wondering - did you make Thomas walk? And isn’t the chainsaw overkill? :D

Haha! No, I didn’t make Thomas walk. When we got to a point where he wanted to take a photo, I pulled over and let him run ahead for a photo, and then when I passed him, I pulled over again so he could climb back in. It was all staged. :)
