Theme Thursday: Focus
January 30th, 2008 by sallad
I wasn’t sure what to shoot for this Theme Thursday, but Thomas bought me some beautiful tulips, so I focused (no pun intended) on them. Once again, I used my lightbox — I promise I will cut down on lightbox photos, I know it’s getting boring — but this time I hung up black fabric as a background and used our 105mm macro lens. Below are my favorites, but I put several shots on Flickr:
- Tulip Lightbox (11 photos)
Which one do you like best? Be sure to check out other TT participants at Stacy’s Blog (Note: She’s got a new URL).

Wow… tough choice :-) If I had to pick one, though, it would be the first or fourth of your favorites.
Gorgeous. The first one is my favorite for sure!
Beautiful! I think I like the first one best, with all the rich tones in the background, too. Love them. :)
What amazing photos. I would love to have those shots on my walls. BEAUTIFUL!
Oh, I ADORE tulips. One of my MOST favorite flowers! And yes, I like the first one best…mostly because the one tulip is in focus, and the others in the background are muted and hazy. Lovely.
lovely — almost want to eat them they look so good :)!
Breathtaking! I love them all - that first one really took my breath away - all you ladies really inspire me to be better and get better! I pray I can!
I’m feeling the love for that light box! And those pictures are amazing, I can’t pick just one.
Since tulips are my favorite flower on earth, I cannot possibly choose only one as my favorite. They’re all my favorite!
Hi there!
I love them all but I will pick the black and white as my favorite, love it!!
I love your light box, thanks so much for the tip, I made too! I just used it one day so I still need to practice more, but it makes me curious, how did you hang the fabric? I was having trouble hanging stuff with tape cause I didn’t want to ruin the white boards…
Thanks!
