A Couple of Quick Updates

February 4th, 2008 by sallad

My husband was inspired by my Fun Monday post and made a late Fun Monday entry listing out his things to do before he dies.

The signups closed for the Handmade Greeting Card Swap and we ended up with 9 swappers total. I’ll post more once the swap is over at the end of the month.

I finished another reusable shopping bag. This one is just like the one I made Thomas, but in better colors. The outside fabric was a funky bed cover that I got at Target on clearance. It’s not something I’d put on my bed, but I thought it’d make cute bags.  For size reference, I have a Kleenex box, a roll of toilet paper, and three books in the bag.

I so have to make one of these. I have slowly been getting together a collection of canvas bags for my groceries so I can eliminate plastic bags altogether. These are so much prettier though!

I think you posted the pattern…I’m going to look for that now.

Oh, right. There it is. Conveniently linked. Doh.

Forgive me. It’s past my bedtime.

Oh my goodness, that bag is so cute. I’ve had the pattern printed since I saw your last bag. I have to make me some. I love it! So, so cute!

The shopping bag is such a great idea. I’m thinking this is a great step to get you to that Etsy.com group! I’m so excited about the card swap (: I’m experimenting with acrylics, but I may have to try something different.
