I lived there for 3 months in third grade. It was in the winter so the island was mostly deserted. My sister and I had so much fun exploring the beach and the rocks that were there to create sand dunes. Thanks for the pictures! It's a nice blast from the past! I haven't been back in years. Good for you to identify the young bald eagle. It has been great to see them return to Jekyll Island, a nest was established a year or so ago and it looks like they are reproducing!
