Handmade Notecards

March 24th, 2008 by sallad

These are the cards I made for the Notecard Swap that Creative Kismet is hosting. I figured I could post them, since the participants don’t know who will get one of my cards.  She has 22 bloggers participating, and we only make 5 cards to trade.

For these cards, I was inspired by one of the “extra” cards sent to me by Melissa in my swap. I loved it and searched the web to see how she made it. I found several examples of really fancy ones, and finally directions on how to make the flower.

Anyway, here are the cards I’m swapping.  They were pretty quick and easy to make, though a little top heavy.  If you try making them, I suggest using thin double sided paper for the flower, and go easy on the glue.  The last one is my favorite.  Now I just need to mail these off to the swap organizer…

Those are beautiful. I’ve been waiting to see if you can keep up with all the swaps. It would seem so! I’m always afraid to sign up for one, afraid I’ll be the one who doesn’t get it done and upsets everyone.

these are so pretty! That design would make a cute (albeit difficult to make) quilt too.

Too cute!! I’m going to have to give it a try! How did you know how large to make each small circle to get the final diameter that you wanted? Like 1 inch circles?
