Swap Update
[Note: Tori - If you'd like your bag for the swap to be a surprise, skip this entry... :) ]
Yay! I’ve completed my swaps and they’re on their way to their new homes. It was a lot of fun, but I don’t think I’ll do so many swaps all at once again. I have one more month to complete the Embroidered Button swap, and I decided to not participate in the Bird Inchie swap afterall. I was just having a hard time getting into such a tiny craft. I also need to complete my last two Pay It Forward swaps - are you two still out there or have you given up on me? :)
Here’s what I sent out this week:
So about the tote… I would call it more of a bag, or maybe a purse, just because the strap is so short. I used the Grand Revival Flea Market Bag pattern which was pretty easy to follow. I had a hard time understanding how to do the pocket, so I just went pocketless. I was confused on the word, “pocket facing”. What’s it mean? Other than that, it was quick and easy, but I do recommend increasing the strap length. I used more of that bed sheet from Target, and lined the bag with fusible interfacing.

cute bag! That medallion is placed perfectly. Using a sheet is a great idea for lots of fabric. Can’t wait to see the embroidered buttons. I can’t believe that I missed out on this button swap twice!

The bag is adorable… the print is so artful and lovely.
BTW… my little picture appeared in one Wordpress blog, but not others… what could I have done wrong? (rhetorical wondering voice)
Aha!
Huge triumph for me… minor in the tech set, but I figured out my error.
Cute bag, looks great!
