Relay for Life
Last Friday, we joined Thomas’ coworkers and played with baby Megan. Um, I mean participated in Relay for Life, but we got lots of baby time too. The event was at Georgia Tech and ran from 8PM until 8AM with participants running/walking laps all night long to raise money for cancer research. It was geared more toward the college students, but we had fun hanging out with his coworkers and getting to know their families. There was a really moving moment when they had everyone clear the track while a bagpiper walked the circle and played Amazing Grace. Then by candlelight, we all walked a silent lap together in honor of people who have had cancer. Here are our photos:
Here are my favorite shots I took:

Hi Dallas~ I just wanted to say Thank you to you and Thomas for all that you do. You guys are an amazing example of giving back and living life to the fullest, I love reading your blog and viewing your photos. Looks like you guys had a fun time and Congratulations on the 1 year anniversary!!!
It was inside? I’ve participated in several Relay for Life events, and they’re always outside! Cool–much nicer than flimsy plastic rain jackets :-)

Sorry, I should be focusing on your well spent time and the nature of your endeavors, but my thoughts keep going back to the hours 8pm to 8am!!? Was there a nap time?! It must have been fun… everyone looks wide awake and enthused. Well done!
My school has participated in Relay for Life every year, and I’ve always donated, but never made it out. It seems like a very moving experience. The Thomas picture is priceless by the way.
