Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! I love you.

Of course I don’t remember any of these photos being taken, but my Mom was just a couple of years older than I am now.  She’s a strong, intelligent woman, a great mom, and I am proud to have as a role model.

And Happy Mother’s Day, Mama C! I love you too.

Mama C is my Mom’s mom, and we share a birthday.  She’s in her 80s (I hope you don’t mind me saying that online, Mama C) and she volunteers regularly, has the same passion for travel and learning that I do, and she’s internet savvy - she emails, instant messages, and reads my blog.  Again, another amazing woman in my life.

Very touching, I think the photo of you and Mama C is beautiful, she doesn’t look like she is in her 80’s!

Thank you for the beautiful tribute to me and to Mama C. You have become everything we hoped and knew you had the potential to become, and you’ve just begun. Life is a wonderful adventure, especially when you are surrounded by friends and family who love and accept you and encourage you to follow your dreams. I am proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future brings.

I almost shared a birthday with my mom’s mom too, but I was born about 2 hours too late. Still we always celebrated together.
