Back from My Blog Break

June 27th, 2008 by sallad

Hurray! My week of No Blogging is over. Did you miss me?

Hydrangea

It was a full week, so it was good to get a break. This week, I hung out with friends two nights. Thomas and I visited the library and got library cards. We created ToDo lists using the Getting Things Done method that Thomas learned in a workshop.  And I worked on a couple projects that I’ve got going in the background.

Squirrel Bath

Tomorrow, we’re going to the Six Flags Theme Park for Thomas’ company event.  I’m not sure I’ll go on any roller coasters.  The last one I went on was at Disney World in high school.  Disney’s just seem safer - maybe because they’re closed in.  Tomorrow night, we’re going to a friend’s party. Sunday, we are teaching the kids at church again - this time how to make butter based on a Doctor’s Seuss book.  I just need to figure out which one. :)

Bird Egg

I didn’t take a break from taking photos this week, so I’ll post some of those this next week. These are a few shots I captured around the yard.  The first is a hydrangea that my Mom gave me.  Then a squirrel that visited our bird feeder.  I think the bird egg was from a mockingbird, but I’m not positive.  Actually, I found it in my work parking lot and carried it home to photograph.  And finally, Clover chilling out on the porch.  Those are some furry paws.

Clover

Anything interesting happen in your life this past week?

Hmmm, nothing too interesting happened… oh. I finally started using a feed aggregator so I don’t have to actually ‘go’ to everyone’s blog. ha. took me long enough.

Oh. watch out for all the people spitting at Six Flags. Seriously.

I have missed you this week. Something seemed to be missing when I turned on the computer each morning. I watched a squirrel try to climb the pole to my bird feeder. After several tries he made it.

LOVE the color and sharpness of that first photo. And the egg is intriguing. We did miss you :-)

I love hydrangeas. Big colorful balls of happiness. Theres a kind I would like to put in the backyard called snowball hydrangea. I’ve seen them in a neighborhood closeby and fell in love with them. So how is “Getting Things Done” working for you? I may order it, we need help prioritizing and getting things accomplished. It seems like things tend to slide and then frustration sets in. Good luck with the butter! The kids will get a lot of energy out that way - it takes a lot of shaking (; The Clover picture is my favorite. That girl has got character!

Clover is so cute and looks just like my Jip. If we get another little one that is female, I think we might have to name her Clover, too. It seems perfect. — Michele
