Can't See Me

You can’t see me. I’m not here. Actually, I’m feeling a little blog-neglectful. I feel like there has been a lot going on, but I don’t really have anything to show for it. I have nothing to write about, and I have barely taken any photos this week. Where is my time going?

Thomas and I are spending the long weekend with my grandmother, Mama C. I’m looking forward to playing Canasta and Dominos, relaxing, and taking a ton of photos. I wonder how long it will take for her to tell us to put our cameras away and stop taking so many photos. It’s her fault though - the photobug gene is inherited. She’s got photo albums upon photo albums in her closet. I think I also inherited the reading gene, travel gene, and the journaling/blogging gene from her too. Maybe it’s because we share a birthday. :)

The photo in this entry is one of the baby squirrels born in our yard this past Spring.  When they first started venturing outside their tree, they kept covering up like this.  I have no idea why - it wasn’t fooling Clover.  Have a great Independence Day!

Canasta! Oh now that is a good time! It’s been so long since I’ve played, may need to make that a part of this weekend I think. Have a wonderful weekend!

The summer always seems busier to me, rather than slower. Why oh why is that?

Happy Fourth (though I guess it’s the fifth now)! I didn’t know you guys played canasta - we should get together and play some time. I think the “Bugs” you caught were great ones (:

Our baby squirrels are trying to build a nest in the tall pine tree in the back yard. We finally figured out why all the willow oak leaves and little limbs kept falling in the grass when we looked up and saw her working so hard. So far, she’s dropped as many leaves and limbs as are stuck in the tree. They are so entertaining.
