More Trip Photos

July 10th, 2008 by Sallad

1. Nickel glued to the window sill, 2. 50 year old handmade swingset, 3. Outside a Mexican Restaurant, 4. Dallas, 5. Church Door, 6. Mama C Driving, 7. Mama C on the back porch, 8. Feather on Grass, 9. Mama C standing outside

I edited and uploaded about 30 more trip photos today. The mosaic shows some of my favorites. This bunch included fireworks, hanging around the house, a nearby fancy church, and a couple restaurants we went to. All I have left now to finish are the photos from our day trip to the nature preserve. I’ll work on those this weekend.

I like that mosaic. The pictures are actually viewable unlike most mosaics (cough cough Google’s Picasa mosaic maker). I think that picture of you is adorable.

There’s a wonderful story about the nickel on the window sill. I hope Mama C told you about it. Our dad was a real practical joker, and he permanently glued it at least 45 years ago because he knew that a certain person would try to take it off without being noticed. When the time came, he sat down at the kitchen table, with a cup of coffee and a cigarette, and waited for the fun. Many, many people tried to move it over the years, but it’s permanent!
